Sitting in a circle with an acoustic guitar in hand and playing tunes with friends is one of the many reasons why playing an instrument is so rewarding. I host these jams to help my students feel the comradery and joy of making music with others.

Dave, Ben, Kelli, Mike and Don played and sang two classic acoustic guitar songs during the jam: “Good Riddance” by Green Day and “Wagon Wheel” by Old Crow Medicine Show. We learned the song together, worked out arrangements and figured out the structure. By the end, we were playing the songs very well and having a great time.

With fall coming and campfires in our futures, it’s good to know a couple tunes to play with friends and family.
