I have yet another student of mine to thank for a Track of the Week this week. Jim encouraged me to listen to The Decemberists, a band whose name I’ve heard plenty of times but whose music was unknown to me.

I sat down to listen to The King is Dead album and I was struck by the band’s musicianship and the great songwriting. The entire album is fantastic, but here’s my favorite cut:
