This Student Spotlight features Hailey Hagan performing “I Love Rock and Roll.” Hailey studies art at her high school and takes lessons with me on the weekends. As a former art student myself, I am very curious about her art studies and we often talk about her art projects at school. I use the parallels between art and music to help Hailey understand musical concepts.

Although Hailey is very quiet and reserved, she’s very expressive through her art and music. She’s also a very quick learner and a dedicated student. She always comes to class ready to play. I can’t wait to see what she can accomplish in music!
